Don't know until I try them, but these classes are very similar to Rits and Sins..
Paragon = Supporter with Shouts
Ritualist = Supporter with Spirits
Dervish = newest 'melee' craze like Sins.. people say, "but they have teh hoods!" --people said the same about Sins but with their Naruto-like masks.

Im more interested in what armour they have to offer in chapter 3, although my choice will be based on what type of skills the Paragons/Dervish professions have. But chances are im sticking to my Ele all the way through =p

I don't know... I'm definately keeping my Canthan Monk, but I think a Mo/P would be really good- using bond skills to reduce damage and using shouts to make the party even stronger. The Dervish however, reminds me of a R/A- making use of the Ranger's agility and close-range 'side-effect' abilities of the Assassin. Once again- the Dervish will be picked by almost everyone (just like the Assassin) because it both looks and sounds cool. The downside is that it is a close combat character and will have probably 70 max armor (making it even more similar to the Assassin due to it's lack of survivability when played by many people.)

I'll be looking at primary attributes and playing a combo of both for quick unlocks. I like both professions.
New professions are about new playing styles. If the playing style is unique it changes the game enough and keeps me interested. I rarely try to get 15k stuff for my pve guys, so I really don't see it as much of an investment. The payoff is high because it gets you more skills quickly.

I WOULD try both, but I can't play during this weekend... Bummer.
But the first I'm gonna do once I get chapter 3, will be to make a Dervish/Assassin and have him use daggers (if chapter 3 brings us any decent-sized daggers).

Dervish, definitly.
I suck at support.
On top of that, for every person who is saying people will only pick the Dervish because of their hoods, you do realize that you are making up the majority of people saying that.
People can't seem to give stuff a chance before having to make up people to call noobs, just to hate it.

I want to try a paragon, but I hope they'll get full body armor like warriors, rather than gladiator looking armor.

Eh...rly ticks me off how all the kids or unexperienced are whining about the Canthan characters not getting upgrades in this next chapter.
Even if they don't, that's no reason to just drop em like its hot
The reason 2 new classes are being made *besides the obvious reasons of lore and demand* is for the PVP. The Guild Wars Factions championships used the core professions but mixed in the factions skills and professions. So the Guild Wars Nightfall Championships will exhibit new skills for the core *and maybe the canthan* but it will all be about adapting to the new possibilities given by the Nightfall professions and skills.

Both, I will only make on PvE version of it though, probably the dervish because all the time I am playing a support class and a melee class is a good change.
I actually like how chapter specific classes won't be expanded on in future chapters, that means I can keep my ritualist in Cantha and it can stay there, maybe use it once and awhile for PvP. When I thought carrying three characters through a main quest was boring, man I was in for it carrying 4 through it.
I don't want to make it 5, keep chapter specific classes in their chapters.

i hope the Dervish won't get the same hate Sins got. I have a big tendency to not pick anything that's the current *in thing* or trend... that's why i didnt make an assassin and chose the rit instead (but now im loving it!) yeah i want to make a Dervish too, i'll wait and see tho but i think i'll end up making a paragon.. ultimately it will depend on which class is more pve oriented and able to solo/duo farm high end places like fow or uw.

Female Paragon. All my characters are female and the smallest build possible with the name "Nentisys" and then a surname. And im goin to keep that theme through Nightfall.
Im so looking forward to the Pvp weekend so we can see the skills and armours

I will try both on the PvP weekend and then choose one. I've decided each chapter I'll pick one new profession, go slowly through the new storyline and then take my 3 Core characters through it as well. That will take up all the time until the NEXT chapter is released. Then I just repeat...

Ok heres what im seeing and reading.. The Factions Campaign Characters are going to die due to the fact that people have no slots and something im really dissapointed about is that Rit's and Assasins won't get upgraded??? That makes absolutrely no sense at all whatsoever I mean its also no fair in a way there considered a Proffesion in Guild Wars theres builds with them they should be upgraded with new skills at least.. cmon.. It will make the game even better when theres new builds and such for example Assasins so far are made only for ganking wouldnt it be cool if they can do other things? and Rits can be anything already but maybe some more stuff they can do will awesome. But to answer this Post thread ima try out a Paragon (Deleting PvP Slot) So if Factions Prof dont get upgraded then gg this game will die so Anet better make a update that lets the proffessions upgrade in new armor and skills or sooner or later they will get boring and I mean boring my 15k Rit armor is already getting boring and the rest are ugly..

I've always been interested in "polearm" type classes such as spearmen or lancers.. I think this is the closest thing I will get in Guild Wars right now so.. Dervish has my vote.

I'm quite sure Dervish will be even more popular than assassin I'm more interested in paragon's playstyle but the overall outer appearance, dervish does indeed stand out better in those pictures...
